The history of Sutter Home Winery dates back to the late 1800's, when a Swiss-German immigrant named John Thomann established a small winery and distillery in the heart of California's Napa Valley. Although much has changed for the Trincheros and Sutter Home, the motto and philosophy originated by their father more than a half-century ago remains the same: "A great product for a fair price." After resurrecting Sutter Home in 1948, the Trincheros struggled to keep the family winery afloat, imbuing it with the values of hard work, ingenuity, humility and integrity that have characterized them ever since. Each member of the family played a vital role in keeping the business running: Mother Mary Trinchero kept the books, younger children Vera and Roger helped on the bottling line, while older brother Bob assisted his dad, Mario, and uncle John in cleaning out tanks and barrels. The family's cohesion kept Sutter Home together and eventually made it the success it is today. With its creation of White Zinfandel in the early 1970s and the introduction of high-quality, affordably priced varietal wines during the 1980s and '90s, Sutter Home became a household name and the second largest, independent family-run winery in the U.S. Read less

The goal with this wine is to showcase our terroir. My philosophy is to bring together vibrancy and freshness with rich, ripe fruit characters. Shiny light golden color. The nose is full of ripe lush fruit-lime, pear and peach, layered with beautiful yeast notes and minerality. The mouth-feel is full, with a fine creaminess well-balanced by playful acidity and flinty character. The finish is lively with fine lees and hints of toasted oak. This perfect food wine shows why Chardonnay is such a great variety. -Roman Roth, Winemaker/Technical Director

Everyone loves a great glass of wine, but shopping for wine can be confusing. Thats why I created the Skinnygirl California White Blend. Its an aromatic and pleasingly crisp blend of my favorite white grapes with notes of peach and apricot. This white wine is balanced with a lingering finish and is only 100 calories per serving so you can enjoy it guilt-free. - Bethenny Frankel

Named after a well-known Washington, DC wine merchant, Jim Arsenault, the 2011 Wrongo Dongo is 100% Mourvedre from the appellation of Jumilla, a viticultural region first discovered by Jorge Ordonez. This totally tank-fermented and aged effort is one of the top bargains in the wine world. Deep ruby/purple-colored with notes of blue and black fruits, crushed rocks, earth, forest floor and pepper, this medium to full-bodied red over-delivers. Since its inception, it has been a terrific bargain. Drink it over the next several years. (sourced from vines planted on limestone-dominated soil; no oak): Bright purple. Intense aromas of black and blue fruits, with a spicy overtone. Powerful, sharply delineated boysenberry and cherry flavors show very good intensity and gain sweetness with air. Closes with zesty cut, lingering spiciness and a hint of dusty tannins.

This wine’s scents of bread crust and white peach yield to straightforward flavors of apple and pear, with a texture that’s mineral and creamy at once. Well priced, and well suited to a tuna sandwich.

Juicy and focused, with a racy core of red and green apple fruit, laced with hints of anise and honeysuckle. The lively finish has off-dry hints, but stays bouncy. Drink now.

Feines Hellgelb mit grünlichen Reflexen. Süssliche Fruchtaromen, lebendig, frisch. Am Gaumen rund, leicht süsslich und fein.

Fruit-forward, insanely loveable Petite Sirah-based Red Wine. The minute you uncork the bottle, the boysenberry fruit leaps from your glass. With soft, supple tannins, this wine is great with food or without. Serve it at cellar temperature to allow the flavors to evolve in the glass. - WineryAcid: 0.63 g/100mlPH: 3.71Residual Sugar: 8.1 g/LAlcohol %: 13.5%
