What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Editorial Reviews

Fairly oaky but with a nice perfumed quality exhibiting a bit of toasted corn, cashew brittle and floral notes over the oak and tart apricot fruit tones. A fairly rich mouthfeel with plenty of sweet fruit, a touch of RS to help add roundness and soften the bit of tannin on the palate. Nice fruity finish with peaches, vanilla, and a touch of toasty oak. A pretty dense little wine. Could use some time to round out. 88pts

Lean, sharp green apples on the nose. Medium body with some pleasant mealiness on the backend. Apricot finish.

Grassy, crisp nose with plenty of stone fruits. Definitely a crisp and acidic style of Chardonnay, with a lot of refreshing fruit and a nicely oaked finish with a hint of cedar, corn, and toast.

Red apples on the nose, with a nice caramel scent. There are also notes of cashew and oak upfront. The wine has good bite upfront, before moving to a mellow, wide mid palate of butter, caramel, candied apple and cinammon. Finishes on a lot of oak, but is well done.
