Begins with malbec’s usual magic-marker ink and an underlying hint of musk, but the flavor itself is quite a contrast – light and tart, with not much structure yet enough fruit to satisfy. (AV 85, http://argovino.com/?p=409)
Overrated indeed! This wine is boring on the palate. You don't feel it on the midpalate. It is bitter. On the nose you get good things though, spics, black fruits, blackberry. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the sniff and the color. It is purple like good Malbec, but that doesn't live up to the way it tastes!

"The wine has a beautiful reddish/purple color as most good Malbecs do. The aromas are a mix of freshly crushed black cherries and toasty/smoky oakjust enough to frame the exuberant fruit. On the palate
Subtle and smooth from start to finish. The aromas are sly but sturdy, with mocha and blackberry sticking out. The flavor profile is pure black fruit with underlayers of spice and chocolate. A ripe, really good example of approachable Malbec.
Behind the toasted oak aroma is a generous core of black fruit that feels energetic and bright. Give it two to three years in your cellar to reveal its juicy potential.
The purple-colored 2007 Malbec contains 10% Cabernet Sauvignon while receiving the same élévage as the 2006 Cabernet. It reveals an enticing perfume of coffee/mocha, baking spices, violets, black cherry, and black raspberry. Smooth-textured, layered, and ripe, it has loads of succulent fruit, enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years, and a lingering, fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next 6-8 years.
Good dark ruby-red. Musky aromas of dark berries, mocha and coffee. Broader and fatter than the cabernet but less sweet and less vibrant. In a more earthbound, chunky style. This is still a bit youthfully tight but I'd be more optimistic about this wine's future if it showed more high notes today. finishes with toothdusting tannins. The 2005 was similarly quite closed at an early stage.
