a good solid Malbec from the Mendoza region. Good fruit and full mouth feel, opens up nicely after a bit and goes very well with our spicy meals

This is sweet and light, a great in between red and white wine. Perfect for summer!

Bright cherry flavors emerge in this lively and refreshing roseacute; for grilled scallops.

Tangy and minerally, the 2008 Crios Malbec showed bright aromas and flavors of sweet blueberry and blackberry; modest notes of vanilla and spice illustrate her judicious use of oak. Itrsquo;s straightforward, with a juicy finish and fairly plush tannins. I gave it 88 points, non-blind. Itrsquo;s great with a steak, but also enjoyable on its own and would make a great party wine.

90 Points - The Wine Advocate"Blended with 10% Bonarda; incense, spice box, underbrush, black cherry, savory, ripe, long."Winemaker's notes:The wine has a beautiful reddish/purple color as most good Malbecs do. The aromas are a mix of freshly crushed black cherries and toasty/smoky oakjust enough to frame the exuberant fruit. On the palate, the flavors of cherries and spice are obvious, and the jammy fruit quality just keeps coming on strong, with hints of spice and sandalwood lurking in the background. This is a wine that you'll want to buy by the case because it can be consumed at almost any occasion, whether at a fancy dinner party, or just curled up on the couch in front of a movie. Fun and delicious, what more can you ask for?!

Bright red-ruby. Rather brooding aromas of dark currant, licorice, violet, chocolate and brown spices gained in complexity as the wine opened in the glass. The attractively sweet palate is nicely supported by integrated acidity. A firmly structured, dry malbec with serious tannins.

Pungent acidity refreshes this malbecrsquo;s dry plum flavors, bringing tension to the soft texture and sweet fruit. The finish is gentle and ripe with scents of violets. Serve with braised duck in a sweet sauce.
