a good solid Malbec from the Mendoza region. Good fruit and full mouth feel, opens up nicely after a bit and goes very well with our spicy meals

This is sweet and light, a great in between red and white wine. Perfect for summer!

Blended with 10% Bonarda; incense, spice box, underbrush, black cherry, savory, ripe, long.

Tangy and minerally, the 2008 Crios Malbec showed bright aromas and flavors of sweet blueberry and blackberry; modest notes of vanilla and spice illustrate her judicious use of oak. Itrsquo;s straightforward, with a juicy finish and fairly plush tannins. I gave it 88 points, non-blind. Itrsquo;s great with a steak, but also enjoyable on its own and would make a great party wine.

Pungent acidity refreshes this malbecrsquo;s dry plum flavors, bringing tension to the soft texture and sweet fruit. The finish is gentle and ripe with scents of violets. Serve with braised duck in a sweet sauce.

The purple-colored 2007 Malbec offers an enticing bouquet of spice box, cedar, black cherry and black raspberry. Medium-bodied and full-flavored, on the palate it has gobs of spicy, savory fruit, soft tannins, and a lengthy finish. It may well evolve for 1ndash;2 years but there is no reason to defer gratification. All of the Crios wines are phenomenal values worth buying by the case.

Bright cherry flavors emerge in this lively and refreshing roseacute; for grilled scallops.

The 2008 Rose of Malbec is a saignee of Malbec sourced from 30-year-old ungrafted vines. It exhibits a fragrant bouquet of cherry and wild strawberries leading to a medium-bodied, dry, concentrated wine with lots of spicy red fruits and excellent balance. Drink it over the next 12-18 months.
