Welcome to Suncé Winery. Suncé, meaning "sun" in Croatian, is located on Olivet Road west of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County. Where olive trees once dominated the landscape, old headpruned vines now quietly assert their beauty. Nestled in this serene environment, Suncé Winery provides a tranquil, romantic, yet down-to-earth atmosphere. Suncé is a family winery located in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County. We specialize in small lots of vineyard-designated varietal wines and proprietary Winemaker blends. Suncé Winery focuses on single vineyard production, adhering as much as possible to environmentally sustainable farming with our vineyard partners. We carefully monitor the size of the crop in proportion to the health and vigor of the plants. With the exception of our Sauvignon Blanc, our wines are aged in barrels carefully sourced from primarily French and some Bulgarian, Hungarian, and American coopers, further enhancing the unique properties of each wine. Frane, enlisting wine club members, bottles each wine separately when it reaches its optimal stage of barrel aging, using our on-site bottling line. Suncé Winery is notable for its embrace of a wide spectrum of grape varietals. In testing his hand with so many varietals, our Winemaker, Frane Franicevic seeks to further his knowledge and experience of the craft of winemaking. Each of our vineyard-designates receives the most careful of attention, hand-crafted to achieve the pinnacle of varietal expression. Our award-winning blends further reflect the consummate skill and technique of our winemaker. Rather than seek a uniform palate across vintages, each wine is to be recognized on its own merit, thus articulating the particular growing season’s natural attributes. Our focus upon varietal expression lends to our wines a rare complexity, with a depth and range of notes that allows for a more intrinsic enjoyment of wine. Suncé is the proud sponsor of the innovative Wine For Aids fundraising initiative aimed at raising critically needed funds for AIDS Service Providers in Northern California and around the world. No SKINNY Pinot's here. Russian Rivers produces some of my favorite pinots, and this is no exception. Personal service, small barrel lots and great futures pricing.

Suncé is a family winery and vineyard located in the Russian River Valley, specialize in small artisan lots of first class wine. Suncé Winery has garnered a reputation for award-winning wines across the varietal spectrum, not the least of which, their Russian River Pinot noirs. This Pinot Noir is just the third release from their estate vineyard, named after owner Frane Franicevic’s daughter Zora. It’s rich, vibrant Pinot with strawberry, black cherry and spice flavors. This wine has received gold medals from the Taster’s Guild International and the Sonoma County harvest Fair and it’s a typical small lot wine, only 650 cases were produced. Very limited.
