What to Expect

Charbono is a little-planted, little-known grape in California, yet it has an almost cult following. A clone of the Charbonneau grape found in France's Savoie region, Charbono produces an earthy, plummy and slightly rustic wine with plenty of acid and tannins, concealed by a friendly richness of fruit. The grape is called Bonarda in Argentina.

Solid, with raspberry fruit, a touch of maple syrup and some nice, charry oak. Pretty Charbono.
