Summerland Trio Syrah Grenache Mourvedre 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2005 Trio, a blend of 52% Syrah, 32% Grenache, and 16% Mourvedre from both the Alta Mesa Vineyard and the Bien Nacido Vineyard, is a West Coast version of a high-class French Cotes du Rhone. Spicy, fruitcake-like notes along with hints of vanilla, sweet cherry, raspberry, plum, and currant are all present in this wine, which is dark ruby/purple-tinged, has excellent density, medium to full body, and no hard edges. Drink it over the next 4-5 years...90" WA 6/08
