Summerhill Pyramid Winery Riesling 2010

Member Review by zufrieden:

I picked up this earlier vintage to compare with the excellent 2012. The Mosel style remains intact with some heavier "petrol" notes on the nose, but similar exotic honey and candy apple, pear and peach. Very attractive. The entry is equally pleasant with perhaps crisper acidity to offset the fruit sugar. Balanced, delicious and traditional. Can age a few more years. 89 points.

This aging period is the final step in the production process when the wine (which is alive, by the way) recovers from bottle shock and is infused with the music of the spheres. What is different inside a pyramid? How does it affect the wine and people inside? There are no easy answers to these questions. The Pyramid connects us to the unseen world of pure form, and to things surpassing the intellect's understanding. Read less
