Summerer Grüner Veltliner Langenlois Steinhaus 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Bill Meyer (The Age of Riesling): For me, one of the great pleasures (in the wine world, anyway) is to see how a winery, hitherto unknown, becomes popular. It started slow with Summerer. The wines aren't flashy... they just taste good, and go with food beautifully... The Steinhaus is a first rate vineyard outside of Langenlois... This wine is classic Veltliner, 12.5% alc., about 6 grams of acid and RS. It's just so elegant and fine.

A lovely slightly smokey, fresh hints of apple/pear on the palate, gruner! It keeps drawing you back in like the best juice ever!

Beautifully well balanced and drinkable with a wide range of foods. Nice complexity and balanced acidity on the finish. Nose faintly of metallic, white pepper, not overwhelming. Crisp green grape palette. Great value.
