Summer Riesling Trocken Qualitatswein 2006

Member Review by KrisChislett:

Shows bright apricot, peach and a little tangerine on the nose. Taste leans more toward pear and green apple rind, wet stone and mineral. Light in body, bright and lively, crisp and dry, but still with enough residual sugar to keep sweet Riesling lovers happy. Lingers nicely, and definitely delivers above the cost!

Dried citrus, apricot and spice notes permeate this intensely flavored dessert white, which is impressive, though it sacrifices finesse for power. Drink now through 2024.

This is stunningly sweet, rich with superripe flavors of tangelo and baked pineapple. Although the acidity is barely noticeable, it finishes on a smoky honeyed note, surprisingly light and refreshing.

Sweet and simple, a musky bitter note balances the unctuous of its green fruit flavors. Serve chilled.

A gorgeous late-harvest Riesling that plays rich apricot fruit perfectly against razor-sharp acidity. Wonderfully rich and complex, showing plenty of botrytis character. Serve on its own or with light desserts. A convincing argument for Canadian winemaking.

Lush and spicy, with sweet white offers apricot, honey and candied lemon flavors matched to a silky texture. It's offset by a vibrant acidity, which keeps it balanced and well-defined. Fine for foie gras or a fruit tart. Drink now through 2012.

Sweet and intense. Elegant, with apricot, honey and orange marmalade flavors on a light weight frame. Fine length. Apricot aftertaste. Drink now through 2010.
