I also tried some of Sula's Sauvignon Blanc, this time at a staggeringly chi-chi boutique hotel in northern Goa, and it was fine, tasting pretty much of Sauvignon Blanc, a touch of wine gums and frangipani (I averred theatrically at the time), still the equivalent of £20 a bottle, but something was missing... Sula pioneered the cultivation of French grapes in India and the Sula Sauvignon Blanc was first released in 2000 to what many reported as being Indias best white wine. Grapes : Sauvignon Blanc Region : India / Nashik Maker : Kerry Damskey Taste : Herbaceous, crisp and dry, with hints of green pepper, fresh cut grass and a touch of spice. Racy Gooseberry acaidity with a dry and crisp finish, this wine is well balanced with good acidity.
