Revisiting this Italian wine and getting some interesting characteristics. Get an unmistakeable whiff of roasted chili peppers on the nose with some black pepper sprinkled on top. Rich flavors of tobacco and tar accompany the mild tannins. This is a really well put together wine and isn´t too austere to drink now...plus did we mention it is fermented in an old Etruscan tomb? Pair with braised venison in a port reduction sauce.
