Suavia Soave Classico 2009
Winemaker's Notes:
For generations the life of the Tessari has been dedicated to the cultivation of the vine in the Soave area, the oldest white wine production area in Italy. Since 1887 the family has owned vineyards at the very heart of the 'Soave Classica' area. This is a restricted area with special soil, climatic and morphological conditions centred around the small village of Fitta. Soave Classico shows straw yellow with golden highlights, expressing clear notes of citrus fruits (mandarin and grapefruit) together with delicate white flower notes. On the palate there is a wonderful lively freshness and juicyness, with an unmistakable minerality. This wine is wonderfully rounded and with good volume Use a glass that is not too large, with good flaring, to enhance the fresher and more delicate perfumes. It makes an ideal aperitif, goes well with hors d'oerves and fish and vegetable first courses. Excellent with fish-based main courses, white meats and fresh cheeses.
