Oaky on the nose. Aromas of apple pie crust. The front palate however isn't as oaky as you'd expect. It has good, crisp acidity with apple and pear tones. The oak builds in presence and finishes bigger, with good toast. Ends up a bit heavy handed on the finish though, with the wood notes. 1/21/12
