Semi-dry flavors of white peaches and apricots fused with a crisp lemon-lime like acidity and distinctive slate character, which is a common trait among wines from the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region. The wine complements spicy and/or salty foods very well. Asian cuisine comes to mind, as well as ham the way my mom used to make, with a brown sugar glaze topped with pineapples and cherries.

An aromatic style, exhibiting floral, slate and peach flavors, with smoke and citrus accents. Good complexity and integration at this level, with fine length. Drink now through 2010.
