Flint and grapefruit peel in the nose lead into a continuation of those flavors with a nice blend of apple, honeydew, and passionfruit with a bit of white peppercorn. The acid is a bit sharp on the sides before settling into a nice juicy finish.

Winemaker's Notes:

As our production from the Alegria Vineyard continues on so has our expectations for the Russian River Zinfandel, and the 2006 vintage has not disappointed. The bouquet is filled with rich and complex flavors of dark fruit; cherries, and black plums followed by a whisper of spice. The palate is rich and concentrated and is nicely framed with a hint of sweet toasty oak. Wonderful alone, or with grilled vegetables, chicken or ribs.
