Vintage: 2003 06/21/2007

Stryker nails it with this delicious wine. While it certainly benefits from decanting, its drinkable almost immediately. This is a complex wine with great tannins and flavors of licorice, black cherry and oak. With alcohol levels at 15.8%, this is a wine to be sipped. Comprised of juice from two different vineyards (50% Paperra Vineyard and 50% Barberri Vineyard) and blended after they age separately, this is a wine with a smooth and delicious finish!

As is always the case when we talk about the “Oz”, the 2008 vintage of this old vine zinfandel is an absolute treat. Aromas of bright cherry, vanilla bean and clove invoke an immediate feeling of standing over the fermenting tank during morning punch downs. A soft yet full body of raspberry and dried cherry pave the way for a medium finish that lingers just long enough to entice another sip.
