Food Pairings for Storybook Mountain Vineyards Zinfandel Atlas Peak
[Cook] No detailed notes. KAB liked this; I agree. Would buy again.
Big, rich spicy with a tart kick.
very peppery for me.
A little overboard with the tangy aftertaste, but not bad on the whole. Full and rich. Decent Zin.
full bodied wine that leaves a pucker feeling on the mouth.

Storybook is situated at the north end of Napa Valley, on the eastern slope of the Mayacamas Range. Their exposure provides ideal morning sun yet limits the hot rays of the late afternoon, with cold breezes flowing from the Russian River to the west. Their vineyards are cultivated without herbicides or pesticides. Very much in the 'claret' style, Storybook Zin 2005 has been described by Wine & Spirits as "pure, arrestingly aromatic"- they awarded the wine 95 points.
