2004 Storybook Mountain Vineyards Estate Red Antaeus Napa - some of the best juice available from the caves of Storybook Mouintain. It's as good as the reserve Zin with a dose of Cabernet, a bit of Merlot and Petit Verdot for extra dark color. The wine is expressive of its terroir, red clay soils and a cool (temperature) site. The flavors are bold and forward giving up blackberry, spicy black cherry, bittersweet chocolate and a mellow earthieness up front while the finish goes on and on with nuances usually found in Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley. If you're a fan of Storybook's wines or just really high quality reds at really reasonable prices, this is for you. This is a California Wine.
