Stony Bay Sauvignon Blanc Hawkes Bay 2010

Member Review by EMark:

Clear pale yellow color. Quite herbal/vegetative on the nose. Initial palate sensation is that there's something missing here--seems watery. Then as it passes further back the NZ citrus tartness emerges--very much lemons and limes. Way in the back of the palate you get more of that green pepper sensation with a tad of mineral. Overall I am looking forward to have this wine with dinner, tonight. Peggy stopped at the Phillipino fish market this afternoon a brought home a fresh Pompano. We'll grill it up, and this lemony wine should do well. US$9.99 at Total Wine.
