Stonecrop Pinot Noir Martinborough 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Owners of this 20 acre family owned estate, Andrew Harris and Sally Richardson, split their time between Montauk and Martinborough. Their vineyard is in a prime location on Dry River Road and flourishes with the low rainfall, hot summers and the dry ripening period at the end of the season. This latest vintage is elegant as usual and has seductive aromas of soft plum, flavors of spiced black cherry and good balance with silky tannins. A most rewarding bottle.

A ripe, plush Pinot Noir from the North Island. It shows lots of wild, brambly berries and a ripe, sweet mid-palate of red fruit.
