Food Pairings for Stoneboat Vineyards Pinot Noir Okanagan Valley Vqa
Having now gone through most of the lineup for Stoneboat, I land on the Pinot Noir; and a soft landing it is, with a typical light Bourgogne A.C. transluscence common to the Okanagan. There is strawberry-coffee and compote on the nose with just a hint of cranberry. On entry we find more strawberry preserve (jam) with soft tannin and quite a silky elegance on the back palate. A bit too much leather and rubber on the finish. Chill slightly (15 minutes in the fridge) and serve. 86 points.
