What to Expect

Norton is an indigenous American grape, also called Cynthiana, the state grape of Missouri in fact. It's widely planted in the USA with particular concentration in Virginia. Many say wines made with the grape resemble Syrah, others say Bordeaux. What is true is that the grape produces a range of styles from light and fruity to rich and dense with assertive notes of coffee and mint accenting the intense raspberry fruit.

Winemakers Notes

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
Alcohol - 18.3%; Residual Sugar - 8.5%

TASTING INFORMATION: A dense, rich Port with stunningly powerful blackberry and cassis flavors. Enjoy it now or let it age in the bottle for a few years. Great served with nuts and flavorful cheeses such as Stilton after dinner or by the fireside. Highly revered, this award-winning Port is available in very limited quantities.
