Stoller Pinot Noir Dundee Hills 2002

Member Review by Wine Fire:

Nose starts with petroleum, tar, and alcohol predominating, with hints of freshly cut grass and licorice on subsequent sniffs. Palate begins hot with alcohol. Acidic and bitter throughout. Tart raisins, licorice. Tamed somewhat with food like pepper-smoked salmon or strong cheese. On the other hand, chocolate or fruits reinforce the bitterness. Pleasant pepper aftertaste, but not for long.
