What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Winemakers Notes

With the release of our 2006 Danza Roja blend, we have added another layer of elegance by including 16% Pinot Noir, which introduces flavors of baked cherries and black tea, along with the grace needed to round this off as a truly refined wine. The premise is the same, a fully integrated artisan blend of perfect balance and structure with additional flavors of blueberry, maple syrup, and sweet almonds. Created to accompany a wide array of dishes, or to simply enjoy on its own, this wine is a true example of how blending can encourage a wine which is greater than its individual components.

Reviews

I really like this wine. Yummy is the best way to describe it. i first tasted this at the winery in CA, and didn't expect the maple syrup to be so prominent. Sure to be a party favorite for those with a palette.
