Our iconic winery is perched high above the town of Calistoga on a mid-valley hill. Its stark architectural beauty, state-of-the-art winemaking facility, and panoramic views of Napa Valley from the rooftop deck have attracted visitors from all 50 states for over 30 years.
Not the greatest merlot, but does the job well. Some black fruit nose, maybe some tannins on the end, not much of a finish.
I consider myself some what of a wine snob... I love this wine. If anyone can find it please email me. Shannon1974sb@yahoo.com. Thanks

External Reviews for Sterling Vineyards Red Bordeaux Blend Napa Valley
Despite an initial offering of ripe, fleshy plum and black cherry, it turns simpler at midpalate before an earthy, waxy, cedary edge works into the fold. Drink now. 99,000 cases made. -JL Wine Spectator. A Merlot wine from California in USA. 2002 Sterling Merlot 750ml
Shows concentrated aromas of black cherry, ripe plums, dark chocolate, vanilla and lightly toasted oak. Equally focused flavors of jammy red fruit and ripe cherries and root beer, with a lingering finish of chocolate-dipped cherries and sweet oak.
