What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

One of my favorite Chard's despite it's less than 90 rating by Connoisseurs' Guide, Feb 08 (they gave it an 85). Wine Spectator gave it a 90.

Bright inviting straw color. Pear and floral with a slight toasty oak overtone.

Velvety medium body with a lingering finish of buttery vanilla that makes me think of buttered popcorn.

I love it.

A soft, creamy entry is followed by flavors of caramel apple, ripe pear, honey and hazelnuts. This rich, complex wine is wonderful with read more...

Tight and still a bit coarse in texture, showing a spicy, subtle citrus, green apple and pear focus, with hints of hazelnut on the finish. Gains complexity. This is worthy of short-term cellaring.
