Very bright nose with notes of pineapple, bacon, and toasty oak over creamy key lime pie. This opens with a rich mouthfeel underpinned with bright acidity. It’s got slightly orange toned creamy fruit on entry and a creamy mid-palate with more tropical pineapple and slightly guava toned notes that lead to a vanilla and honey topped finish. The modest finish shows some heat and a lightly spicy, creamy finale. 88pts

Soft, buttery and oaky - usually characteristics I'm not so drawn to, but really enjoyable. Hint of spice and citrus. Really nice to drink and would love to pair with food!
The upper end of from solid winery! This wine is NOT readily available, but for those wishing to experience an upper end Chard, this wine is akin to Rambauer; stone fruit, peach and late season stone fruit, deep sweet apple tones, with a very light hint of vanilla on the finish. Well structured from front to finish.
One of my favorite Chard's despite it's less than 90 rating by Connoisseurs' Guide, Feb 08 (they gave it an 85). Wine Spectator gave it a 90. I give it a two thumbs up! Bright inviting straw color. Pear and floral with a slight toasty oak overtone. Velvety medium body with a lingering finish of buttery vanilla that makes me think of buttered popcorn. I love it.

The opulent tropical and floral aromas meld with luscious ripe pear and apple flavors, framed by a lingering, nutty, toasty-vanilla finish.
Rich and complex, our 2006 Reserve Chardonnay reveals lush aromas of ripe apple, pear, flowers, creme brulee and toasty oak. The beautifully balanced flavors first mirror the fruity aromas, and then pick up yellow peach, light honey and hazelnut notes mid-palate. You?ll find an intriguing clove note on the expansive, fruit-imbued finish. Pair our Reserve Chardonnay with rich and creamy first courses or entrees, like lobster bisque, smoked salmon crepes or pasta with four cheeses.At the winery, we gently pressed the grapes, allowed the juice to settle and then transferred the juice to small barrels for the primary fermentation. To round and soften the acidity, we allowed half of the wine to complete malolactic fermentation. We stirred the wine (batonnage) every three weeks to re-suspend the yeast lees and integrate flavors. More than a year of sur lie aging in oak barrels enhanced this wine?s creamy texture and long finish, while contributing hints of oak spice.
