Paid less than $20 for this and was blown away. Rich jammy nose and taste, some fennel on the nose. Great oak lends complexity. A solid CA cab. Even at 27 or so (average price i see here) its a fair wine.
beautiful light purple color. Got this as a gift. very well made. I don't know if it's worth the money, but it's just an excellent california cab.
Fruits and roots open on the nose, with black cherry, sassafras, licorice, vanilla and tobacco emerging in the first hour, along with a hint of dusty oak and rubber floor mat. The palate delivers classic cab flavors, including cherry, licorice, tobacco and mocha. The cherry pops are bright and savory, threaded through varied combinations of other tastes with some evolution over three hours. Tannins are soft and weak, and thus the fruit is not concentrated or sustained. Pleasant, easy drinking.
I loved it! For a Cab Sav, tannins are soft but still has the jammy lively taste. Had post Boston Marathon 2008!
Had plenty of berry aromas and taste. A rich color and mouth feel. Each sip went down smoothly with plenty of taste to compliment.

This robust wine is dark ruby in color, with strong aromas of ripe black cherry, spicy toasty oak, plums, cinnamon and tobacco. The rich, silky palate reveals lush black currant and blackberry flavors, strong, supply tannins and a long, fruity
Elegant and refined, with a smooth texture and supple, well-integrated tannins. An intense core of currant, blackberry and herb-vanilla scented oak adds a nice flavor and textural dimension. Flavors linger and gain complexity on the finish. Drink now through 2010.
Another winner from the '97 vintage, this is firm and tight, concentrated and compact, with detailed currant, black cherry, plum and spicy, toasty oak. Holds its focus, and picks up a pretty mocha on the aftertaste. Best from 2002 through 2012.
The wine is a nearly opaque inky ruby in color, with rich currant and briar fruit, pipe tobacco, cassis and allspice in the nose. The flavors are reminiscent of ripe berries, black cherry and dried fig, with notes of dusty cocoa, and a hint of anise.
Deftly balanced, rich and creamy, with well-defined black cherry, currant, plum and vanilla flavors that are focused and complex, gaining nuance and depth. Drink now through 2007.
Think of plums roasted in a turkey stuffing and you might imagine the meatiness of the wine's fruit. the black tannins take that fruit toward a blackberry character, gripping and somewhat cold in their youth. As ashen and stemmy as those tannins may be today, there's enough fruit to live beyond them. Check on this ten years from the vintage.
Deliciously complex, this Cabernet blend delivers a pretty array of ripe currant, black cherry, sage, cedar and spice notes, revealing its depth and gaining nuance on a long, intricate aftertaste that keeps pumping out flavor... Wine Spectator. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 1995 Sterling SVR Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
