Can still stay in the cellar for a few mor years, but very drinkable now if you decant for a short time. On the nose some cassis and dark fruits. On the palate the tannins are gentle and allow some nice fruit to appear. Also picked up a slight hint of chocolate. The finish was somewhat short. A pretty good wine but not a special occassion wine

Black berry fruit and ripe cherries leap from the glass, supported by toasty vanilla and cocoa. Full and fleshy across the midpalate, dark fruit reigns, balanced by good acidity and bright cherry notes. Smooth, fruit-driven tannins cradle the finish, integrating subtle elements of oak and spice.

The Sterling Vintner's Collection Cabernet Sauvignon expresses the intense character of Monterey fruit in a full and balanced wine. Distinctive aromas of ripe blackberry, pepper, toast and hints of smoked meats are followed by subtle notes of light chocolate mint and vanilla. The palate offers concentrated black fruits, toffee and dark chocolate powder.

Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon displays the rich, fruit-driven style of its California origins with the refined elegance typical of the varietal. The wine's dark profile shows blackberry, cassis and ripe cherry, accented by notes of vanilla and cocoa. The palate is full bodied, with inviting plumpness and smooth tannins that pick up bright cherry notes and a touch of spice on the finish. Combining classic style and structure with the supple charm of ripe fruit, this wine pairs well with rich meat dishes or winter pastas. - WineryVarietal Composition:86% Cabernet Sauvignon12% Merlot2% SyrahBarrel Aging: 12 months, 30% new oakAppellation:76% Monterey County9% Red Hills8% Paso Robles5% San Benito County2% North CoastAlcohol: 13.9%Acidity: 5.7 g/LpH: 3.66Ageability: 2011 to 2016

Our 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is distinguished by its dark profile and deep, decadent flavors, representative of the cool vintage. Aromas of black plums and cherry pie are elevated by layers of spice cake and caramelized vanilla. Boysenberry jam introduces the palate, supported by black fruit and swirls of rich cocoa. Barrel influence is evident in the complex structure and toasty spices that accompany the dark chocolaty tannins into a long, lively finish. This wine makes a fine accompaniment to braised short ribs or pasta carbonara. - WineryVarietal Composition:81% Cabernet Sauvignon5% Merlot5% Cabernet Franc3% Petite Verdot3% Petite Sirah2% Malbec1% SyrahBarrel Aging: 15 months45% American oak45% French oak10% European oakAppellation: Napa ValleyAlcohol: 14.6%Acidity: 5.8g/LpH: 3.78Ageability: 2012 to 2017

Herersquo;s a good mouthful of Cabernet, with true varietal character. Blackberries and currants are generously framed in oak, and the tannins are nice and rich. It lacks a bit of complexity and subtlety, but this could be your house red.

Chewy wild berry, currant and mineral notes are tasty, with an herbal, light oak and citrusy edge that adds a touch of refreshment. Drink now.
