Sterling Chardonnay 2009
Our 2009 Napa Valley Chardonnay shows graceful, elegant fruit and fragrant, sweet oak spices. The gentle nature of the fruit from this vintage allows the influence of the barrels to shine through, lending rich caramel and vanilla notes to ripe tropical fruit, citrus and floral aromas. The palate is layered with golden apples and peaches and pierced by a bright streak of citrus that carries into the long and crisp finish. Poached fish, grilled chicken or light spring-vegetable pasta would be a nice complement to this wine.
Our iconic winery is perched high above the town of Calistoga on a mid-valley hill. Its stark architectural beauty, state-of-the-art winemaking facility, and panoramic views of Napa Valley from the rooftop deck have attracted visitors from all 50 states for over 30 years.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Nice Napa chardonnay. Nothing special but good balance, decent fruit, crisp, clean, not overly oaky or too buttery. A little bit of a metallic after taste on the mid palate.
Very delicious. Tasted the vanilla finish! Went well with white meat.
External Reviews for Sterling Chardonnay
Nice and sweet in oak and ripe, forward peaches, pears, apricots and spices, with a touch of tropical fruit, this everyday Chard also pleases for its creamy texture and smooth finish.
Scents of creamed corn peg this as a Central Coast Chardonnay. Itrsquo;s tight in the middle, softer in the end, with a savory/sweet balance. For grilled pork.
A tasty offering that features sweet pineapple, green-apple, and citrus fruit prettied up by a delicate veneer of light toast and vanilla cream. Shows good balance and elegance.
Roasted pecans, vanilla and cornmeal flavors offer some depth to the modest pear and apple notes, finishing with a pasty note. Drink now through 2005.
Offers good intensity, with fresh, vibrant peach, melon and nectarine flavors that are pure and juicy. Ends on a clean, refreshing note. Drink now.
Aromas of honeysuckle, citrus and Key lime are friendly and caressing, fresh and lively. Medium-bodied, this has lots to offer in its array of ripe fruit flavors. Drink now.
Intense, with good fruit vibrancy. Lots of pear, spice and apricot flavors that offer good value for the money. Drink now.
