Notes on the Stephen Vincent California Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 : WINEMAKER NOTES: This fine wine is produced from a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Merlot. Its harmonious balance derives from the use of grapes from two distinct regions: 70% of the wine comes from the Central Coast, and 30% is from Sonoma County. Complex flavors, soft tannins, and French oak are blended perfectly in this exceptional wine. Winemaker tasting notes: Deep dark ruby color, with hints of blackberry and cassis flavors. Fruity, excellent value.
A fantastic, fruity California Cabernet. Almost harkens to the lush cabs of the past. The only sign of it's ridiculously cheap price point is a less than stellar finish down the throat. Full of vibrant ripe black cherries and overripe blackberries, with a hint of spice on the slightly tannic finish.
Really enjoyable cab that mellows well when blown through the Vinturi. Great value.
