Awesome wine. Underrated, because the entire region is underrated. This presumably 89-point wine tastes better than many 90-92-point wines I tasted in the last year.
Deep and rich; not very smooth but awesome health benefits to be taken with meals!
This wine is great and a great value, Needs decanting but pairsd well with red meat or a red sauce. Nice everyday wine for the price.

Wine Advocate Review Rated 88 The 2005 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is made in a light to medium-bodied style that emphasizes its ethereal, perfumed aromatics rather than an over expression of fruit, as is often the case with other Cannonaus. Theis understated, elegant wine reveals a core of sweet cherries that gradually emerges with air. It remains a feminine wine of notable class, particularly at this level. Wine Tasting Notes Intense with scents of violet. Well-rounded and supple with rich, ripe, plummy flavors.
