Steele Pinot Noir Carneros 2010
At once aromas of fresh cherries, strawberry, and juicy character are complexed by a distinctive mix of fresh and dried roses. This wine is very floral, pretty and elegant, at core. A bit of subtle fresh herb bramble is mixed with some silty (finer than loamy) minerality that gives the mouthfeel impression more weight. The wine finishes with present but pleasant acid, some cranberry and citrusy notes rounding out the experience. A very happy wine.
