Nice black fruit and pepper on the nose. Cherry bomb on the palate. Nice long finish with a hint of smokiness and tar. Dangerously smooth at 15.1%abv....you can hardly tell there's alcohol in this at all. Had company over tonight and got this out of the cellar. Had several people ask what it was. This stuff stole the show. Astoundingly good. I'm a huge zin fan and quite honestly this is one of the best zins I've ever had. This one was 7 years old and had started to throw a little sediment, but that's just part of the fun. I'm going to see if I can find more. Got this at a little hole-in-the-wall, out of the way liquor store in a small rural town in northern MN. Next time I'm in that vicinity I'll stop in to see if they have more. Little spendy but worth every penny.
