The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 6% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc and spent 22 months in French oak. It has a lively blackberry and boysenberry scented bouquet with a touch of oyster shell. The palate is sweet and sappy on the entry with crisp tannins and vibrant ripe blackberry pastille and blueberry notes. It is nicely balanced and pure towards the finish. You know, I approve of this more than the flagship wine. Drink now–2018.
