The final wine of the night for us on NYE. We turned it into a sparkler with club soda (as I always do with white dessert wines). this had a nutty tropical flavor. Like Hawaiian trail mix or something.

This has nice intensity, with tangy green tea, fig, quince paste and maple hints that show solid drive on the long, tangy finish. Drink now.
Ripe and sweet, with lots of maple, honey, ginger, persimmon and spice notes that are nicely rounded. Shows length on the finish, with hints of golden raisin and white chocolate. Delicious. This wine has a terrific track record. Drink now through 2012.
With an elegance and minerality typical of Standing Stone wines, this Vidal Blanc sets a high standard for Finger Lakes dessert wines. Ripe but subtle aromas of apricot and honey lead to measured, lively layers of pineapple and nutty spice that are rich but balanced. The finish is long but also delicate, tingling on the palate.
Pucker up! Beautiful ripe apricot, pineapple, pureacute;ed mango and lemon custard flavors burst through the thick, full texture. Tangy acidity on the finish maintains the winersquo;s just-picked freshness.
A beguiling nose of honey and lemon leads on this lovely ice wine from Seneca Lake. Lush and mouthfilling, this winersquo;s sweet, floral character is balanced by a crisp acidity and delicious spice. Elegant but expressive.

In the case of Standing Stonersquo;s Vidal ldquo;Icerdquo; there appears to have been no blemishes. This may not be terribly complex mdash; its primary flavors are of lemon curd mdash; but it is a delight to drink and displays classic ice wine character. That includes its efficacious acids, its vanilla icing-like glaze, and its combination of richness and body (at 11.5% alcohol by design) with a certain ingratiating lift.
