Ripe and juicy, with a solid core of anise, melon and fig flavors backed by a mouthwatering McIntosh note on the finish. Drink now through 2009.
The Finger Lakes region is recognized for world class Rieslings, and the Wine Spectator recognizes Standing Stonersquo;s Riesling as one of the best. Ripe apricot fruit, complemented by hints of pear and tropical flavors and floral aromas. With age in the bottle, this Riesling has developed great structure and balance that makes it the perfect accompaniment to a fine meal. Serve this wine with spicy Asian cuisine, or try it with baked ham.
The aromas of this delightful Riesling have notes of pink grapefruit, nectarine and limes. The palate is enhanced by a bright acidity and flavors of mandarin orange, white peach and lime zest. The wine has immense length and intensity of flavor, with a crisp, clean finish.
Very floral, with cherry blossom and honeysuckle notes leading the way for bright grapefruit pulp and kiwifruit notes. A tangy edge keeps the finish moving along, with a yellow apple note chiming in at the end for added length. Drink now.
Still very tight, with some CO2 still covering the blanched almond, floral, white peach and mineral notes. Therersquo;s nice crunchy acidity and solid length. Will need modest cellaring to open up fully. Drink now through 2010.
Classic Standing Stone Vineyards Riesling. While the residual sugar says "semi dry" many are fooled into believing it is dry. This wine is lively, with round, full notes of tangerine and other exotic fruits. A hint of acidity balances the wine perfectly. The finish is a pleasant, flinty lift. This wine is great with hard cheeses or chicken dishes. - Winery
Hints of underripe pineapple and green fennel add a clean, refreshing tone to juicy pink-grapefruit flavors on the palate of this medium-dry Riesling. Lemony acidity and a pleasantly bitter grapefruit-pith note give focus and edge on the finish.
