Standing Stone Vineyards Riesling Finger Lakes 2009
This was our Thanksgiving wine and it was splendid. Great pairing for white meat turkey as well as cranberry sauce. Some great wet rock as well as papaya on the finish. I'm sure it would go great with sushi as well.Add winemaker's notes

Ripe, exotic fruits and appealing acidity make this white juicy and irresistible. Big peach, apricot and star fruit flavors lead up to an intense and elegant finish. Simple, straightforward and delicious is the easiest way to describe this wine; try it with cheesecake topped by fresh berries.
Jasmine aromatics prelude tropical fruit flavors of melon and mango that feel smooth and silky on the palate, with an off-dry personality that tapers off to a pleasing clean finish.
Atypically ripe, weighty and intense for a Finger Lakes wine, with pear and peach notes buttressed by minerally dry extract. The mouthfeel is thick and viscous and the alcohol level a relatively high 13.1%, but it finishes long and elegantly, with tongue-tingling acids.
Plump and forward, with fig, anise and lime flavors followed by a ripe, juicy finish. Drink now.
A leader in Finger Lakes Rieslings (and wines in general), Standing Stone offers a lovely white with aromas of white flowers, lemon and peach. The overall balance of fruit, citrus, spice and acid gives the wine a delicate but serious touch. On the finish, spice and lemon prevail. Great wine with a touch of playfulness.
The aromas of this delightful Riesling have notes of pink grapefruit, nectarine and limes. The palate is enhanced by a bright acidity and flavors of mandarin orange, white peach and lime zest. The wine has immense length and intensity of flavor, with a crisp, clean finish.
Very floral, with cherry blossom and honeysuckle notes leading the way for bright grapefruit pulp and kiwifruit notes. A tangy edge keeps the finish moving along, with a yellow apple note chiming in at the end for added length. Drink now.
