Gewurztraminer was the first new vineyard planted by Marti and Tom Macinski at Standing Stone Vineyards. The first vines were planted in 1994 and included 4 different clones of Gewurztraminer. The vineyard site is on a steep hillside with thin soils and lots of slate. The combination of soil, slate and sun exposure contribute to an exceptional Gewurztraminer. - Winery

Crushed granite notes lend a distinct minerality to ripe black cherry and plum flavors in this wine made from the Georgian (the republic, not the state) Saperavi grape. It’s dry in style with a delicate frame marked by gentle tannins and soft acidity.
