Apricots on nose with a little spritz, some pear and melon Very acidic at first taste, Funky after taste, I think this bottle was a little off b/c it falls flat but when I bought at winery I remember loving it. As it opened up I got the classic roses, lychee and spice that I remembered and enjoy from a nice gewurztraminer

This practically demands thai food or something asian and flavorful. Clove and lychee all over this piece. Definitely a nice change of pace from the Chardonnay and Sauv Blancs I've been drinking lately.

Gewurztraminer was the first new vineyard planted by Marti and Tom Macinski at Standing Stone Vineyards. The first vines were planted in 1994 and included 4 different clones of Gewurztraminer. The vineyard site is on a steep hillside with thin soils and lots of slate. The combination of soil, slate and sun exposure contribute to an exceptional Gewurztraminer. - Winery

Forward, with rose water, watermelon rind and pear skin notes that pick up a hint of bitter grapefruit on the finish. Drink now.

Savory scents of smoke and roasted nuts lend an uncharacteristic earthiness to sweet lemon and orange blossom notes on Standing Stone’s Gewürztraminer. Quite lush on the palate with a slightly viscous slick; lemony acidity adds a nice, steely bite to the finish.

Shows all the aromatic litchi, spice and pink grapefruit notes this varietal is known for, with a broad, waxy palate offering rose petal and pink grapefruit flavors. Just a dash of bitterness on the finish keeps it honest. Drink now.
