abernet Franc grows beautifully here in the Finger Lakes., and with good vineyard management can produce a beautiful red wine, even in a cool wet growing year like 2006. This wine is amazingly vibrant and fruit forward, with a medium body and a light, fruity acidity. Taste the cranberry and raspberry flavors, with hints of vanilla on the finish, and earthy flavors underneath. This wine tends to show off early in its life, with mild tannins and bright fruit. It also ages well for several years, showing increased smoothness and complexity. This wine is an obvious choice to complement Italian dishes.
