A well-balanced wine that shows off pretty pear, citrus, melon, apple and vanilla notes, all tempered by a fine, mineral edge. Delicate, elegant and lovely.
A mix of creamy textured, pear, fig, leaf and cedary oak flavors that turn smoky. A little time in the bottle should round out some edges. Drink now through 2005.
Combines subtlety and finesse, with smooth ripe pear, melon, ginger, spice and hazelnut flavors that are rich and full-bodied without being heavy. Ends with a long, graceful finish. Drink now through 2017.
The 1994 Chardonnay has had 30% malolactic fermentation. It is a fresh, Chablis-like Chardonnay with plenty of crisp fruit, no evidence of oak, and an excellent, medium-bodied, nicely concentrated style. It should drink well for 3-4 years.
A flinty style, with lemon, mint and sage notes wrapped around a tight band of spicy pear. Drink now.
Light and refreshing, with creamy notes. It has a well-balanced midpalate and finishes with excellent length, spiciness, balanced oak and a hint of vanilla.
Lush and complex. Fruity flavors range from fresh green apples to spicy ripe pears. The oak is fine and smoky, while barrel fermentation and lees aging help craft a creamy texture. The finish is long and rich.
