Stags' Leap Winery Red Blend Napa Valley Ne Cede Malis 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

Ne Cede Malis comes from the Latin phrase, "Don't give in to misfortune," and is the motto of Stags' Leap's Victorian founder Horace Chase. This Rhônefield blend of Petite Sirah, Carignane, Mourvedre, Grenache, Peloursin, Syrah, and Viognier hails from the oldest vines on the property and is a wine with extraordinary depth and complexity, bold tannins and a long, elegant finish. It's one of those rare and unique wines that has no equal.

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars:
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is considered one of Napa Valley's first-growths. We were founded by Warren Winiarski and his family in 1970 and are best known for our estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons — CASK 23, S.L.V., and FAY. Over the years, our wines have become some of the most highly regarded and collected wines worldwide. They are fashioned to express classic elegance, structure, and ageability, and to reflect the place in which they are grown.
