Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Stags Leap District 2008
This wine has the floral aromas of Sauvignon Musque and the slightly pungent white asparagus and fresh-cut grass nose of Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit, lemon-lime and white peach flavors are bright and juicy, with tropical guava and mango in the background. The finish is energetic and lingering, with brisk acidity and a mineral edge. Pair this wine with mild Thai curries, shellfish pasta with shallot and white-wine broth, or asparagus and red bell pepper stir fry.
Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is considered one of Napa Valley's first-growths. We were founded by Warren Winiarski and his family in 1970 and are best known for our estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignons — CASK 23, S.L.V., and FAY.
