A gorgeous bouquet of green apple, pear, and citrus fruits mingles with notes of jasmine, honeysuckle, and warm pie crust. These inviting aromas lead to flavors of gingered pears, vanilla cream, and citrus zest that lightly lingers to a satisfying finish.

Good pale yellow. Subdued aromas of pineapple, candied lemon peel, minerals and menthol. Bright, fresh and juicy, with clean flavors of pineapple and flowers. Not especially complex but the fruit flavors are lively and persistent. Dry-edged in a positive way.

Cardamom and chutney spices mingle with citrus, Pippin apple and flowery lemon-verbena aromas. Ripe apricot and pear flavors lead into a luscious mid-palate with a pretty mineral-tinged structure.

A mix of creamy textured, pear, fig, leaf and cedary oak flavors that turn smoky. A little time in the bottle should round out some edges. Drink now through 2005.

Lush and complex. Fruity flavors range from fresh green apples to spicy ripe pears. The oak is fine and smoky, while barrel fermentation and lees aging help craft a creamy texture. The finish is long and rich.

A well-balanced wine that shows off pretty pear, citrus, melon, apple and vanilla notes, all tempered by a fine, mineral edge. Delicate, elegant and lovely.

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Robert Parker: There are about 1,000 cases of the 2009 Chardonnay Arcadia Vineyard from the Coombsville appellation. This is the personal vineyard of the previous proprietor, Warren Winiarski. Its light straw color is accompanied by notes of crushed rocks, white currants, citrus blossoms and nectarines. The wine possesses good acidity, a subtle, incremental building of flavors and intensity, medium body and a stony, Chablis-like personality. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. (Dec 2010)
