User Reviews for Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Artemis
Add your reviewFantastic wine! Some nice depth and structure. A bit heavier than I initially expected.....but I drank this after a 2005 Silver Oak Napa Cabernet that was much lighter.
Excellent Cabernet at a reasonable price. Decanted for about an 1 hour. Noticeable tartaric acid crystals. Explosion of blackberry with the subtlety of a rich chocolate background. Earthy with herbs amongst developing tannins. Good now and well probably age well within the next 5 years.

Good concentrated flavors. Well structured with ripe fruits and a good amount of acidity. Dark fruits (cherry maybe), graphite is predominant as an aroma and in your mouth. I'm drinking in May 2011 and I think it could use a little time but after the first glass I decanted the rest of the bottle. It definitely improved with air from decanting. I wouldn't necessarily call this a best buy at this price point (~$50-60) but it is a reliable winemaker that won't disappoint.

This Cabernet has aromas of cassis and carmael rise and give way to earthy notes of black olive, black pepper, and truffles. With classic flavors of cassis and black cherry, this full bodied wine fills the mouths with notes of violets and vanilla leading to a lingering finish. Stag's Leap Website
This 2010 Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon offers pleasing aromas of black cherries, red plums, violets, nutmeg and sandalwood along with a hint of dried herbs. The cherry and plum notes carry over onto the palate and combine with ripe, mixed berries. The wine
Free Shipping Item! ARTEMIS, named after the Greek goddess of the hunt, is a wine that truly reflects its name. It s the culmination of our hunt for the finest grapes from Napa Valley which, when combined with estate-grown fruit, combine to create a Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the regional character of Napa Valley with the signature style of Stag s Leap Wine Cellars.

A warm, Mediterranean style of cabernet, this is sunny and stony with an herbal spice. Tart black cherry fruit warms the palate, as does the rustic grip of the tannins. Is it old-fashioned in the sense of Italianate styles of the past, or is it a less stylized, unmediated expression of Napa Valleyrsquo;s contemporary climate? Something to ponder over a glass and a bowl of pasta with boar sugo.
