Rich, viscous, thick fruity wine dripping with flavors of baked fruits - plums and black cherries - the flavor lingers and mellows to a spicy finish with notes redolent of pine cones. Will age, and is still a little tight on the finish.

Stag's Leap really knows their cabernets, and, since I'm a huge cab fan, I heart Stag's Leap. Their wines are on the expensive side but Always worth it.

Wine Tasting NotesStill in its youth, this wine reveals extraordinary depth and finesse beginning with rich cassis and blackberry aromas that are warmly blanketed in notes of toffee and vanilla. Savory aromas of rosemary, truffles, and cocoa powder reward those who linger over the bouquet. Take a sip, and discover a core of dark berry, cassis, and cherry fruit flavors amid notes of vanilla, dark chocolate, and espresso. Silky, supple tannins carry this wine into a long, fruity and gratifying finish. Enjoy it with a prime rib roast with Cabernet jus or with venison chops with blackberry compote.

Wine Tasting NotesAllow this savory, multifaceted wine to open upfirst in the glass, then on your tongueand discover the treasures it has to offer. Aromas of berries, brown sugar, and dense dark chocolate evolve in the mouth into a flavor array that includes dark berries, black fruits, and rosemary. The soft grip carries all the way through the long, satisfying fi nish. This S.L.V. will age beautifully for a decade and beyond. To enjoy it now, decant at least an hour beforehand, then serve with grilled pancetta-wrapped figs, oxtail stew with black olives over pappardelle, or polenta topped with a morel-and-porcini flan.

Wine Tasting NotesA gorgeous deep garnet red, the FAY Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits an intense perfume of dark red fruit, lavender, violets and a hint of butterscotch. Concentrated flavors of lush red plum, black cherries, licorice, and subtle forest floor are accented by sweet oak and a ribbon of vanilla. It is beautifully balanced, with a soft entry, expansive fruit flavors and a long, flavorful finish.

This red blend is intense and concentrated, with a rich and supple texture and loads of currant, anise, black cherry, plum and berry notes. On the finish, the flavors weave together in a complex tapestry, and though firmly tannic, it's perfectly balanced.
