Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

Winemaker's Notes:

The legendary Stagecoach Vineyard rises to an elevation of 1700 feet above the eastern portion of Napa Valley's Oakville district, stretching from the western side of Atlas Peak to the southern portion of Pritchard Hill. Cabernet Sauvignon grown on this site is prized for it's intensity and complexity of flavor.Deep, saturated purple color is the introduction to this intense young wine. Dark fruit, baking spice and a dusting of fine tannins in a richly textured package suggest a good decade (or more) of cellaring, if one can resist the temptation to break out a bottle tonight. In either case, beef, lamb or game would be prime partners for this classic Napa Cabernet.Gold Medal Winner/Grand Harvest Awards 2007Awarded 95 points-Wine Enthusiast Magazine-June 2008100% Napa ValleyStagecoach Vineyard-Rutherford100% Cabernet SauvignonAlc: 14.7%TA: 5.9 G/LPh: 3.81427 cases produced

This is a Gold Medal Wine Club Platinum Series selection. The Charles Creek 2004 La Vista Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from the legendary Stagecoach Vineyard of Napa Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon grown on this site is prized for its intensity and complexity of flavor, and the La Vista Cabernet from Charles Creek is no exception. This wine received rave reviews including a bold 95 Points from Wine Enthusiast magazine: “This is a deft Cabernet, the opposite of the modern cult style, better defined by what it is not. It’s a brilliantly structured wine, with a firm architecture of tannins and acids. The flavors of blackberries, currants, cedar and spice are deeply satisfying.” Wine Enthusiast also named this Cabernet one of the 'Top 100 Wines of 2008.'The 2004 La Vista Cabernet was awarded a multitude of medals including a Gold Medal from the San Francisco International Wine Competition, a Gold Medal from the Grand Harvest Awards, and a Gold Medal from the Houston National Wine Competition. Deep, saturated purple in color, this intense wine exudes notes of black and red fruits, dark chocolate and backing spices with a dusting of fine tannins in a richly textured package. Try pairing the Charles Creek 2004 La Vista Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled beef or lamb. Aged 23 months in oak. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy now until 2014.

Wine Tasting NotesThe long warm days and cool nights of the Stagecoach vineyard produce deep ruby red Cabernet Sauvignons of ripe blackberry, plum and cassis while maintaining balanced acidity and a velvety lasting finish.

Black garnet in color. This wine displays dense and brooding aromas of black cherry, rose petals, blueberries, dark plums accompanied by cedary oak, pannacotta with frutta di bosca, sage, currants, dried cherry and licorice. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and deliciously rich. It delivers ripe fruit fl avors of black cherries, blueberries, black currant and plums. The powerful fruit backbone marries perfectly with firm tannins that follow through to a persistent finish. Nuances of spice and anise add further depth and complexity to the wine. Enjoy with Prime Rib Steak. Drink now through 2019. - Winery ** Only 6 in Stock **
