Stag S Leap Winery Petite Sirah 2003
This is an unusually complex and layered vintage. The nose teems with blackberries, red currants, cut hay, and burnt oranges. On the palate this sensuous wine is a mouthful of rich bitter chocolate, French vanilla, and raspberries wrapped in round, sappy tannins. Itís at once fascinating and intriguing, leaving you with a reverberating finish.

A very nice wine a 3.5 if I could give that...rich nose of vanilla, plums and red berries. Earthy with sour cherries and some tannins (slightly drying). Good complexity.
Delicious, big, dark, smooth
Almost black in color, this is an intense, "fat" wine with loads of blackberry, cherry, leather, etc. flavors. Great with a big steak or nice heavy red sauce. One of my favorites.
Very Very Earthy and deep lavenders. This will be your benchmark for all other Sonoma/Napa Petite Sirahs. Recommend the 2006 vintage as well. Buy a case and be ready to make a lot of people say "wow!"
