Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

About This Wine: This wine delivers a seamless integration of texture and flavor, exhibiting complexity and elegance in to a degree that is both seductive and compelling. The fruit flavors are layered, with black cherry, raspberry, and dried cranberry woven together with an intriguing Asian spice. Firm acidity establishes structure for the wine that frames the fruit and spice elements, as if with woven titanium thread without being overbearing. The finish is nearly endless. A wine that will haunt your dreams.

About The Winery: Focused on California’s Central Coast, Robléon seeks out unique vineyard sites known for producing fruit of exceptional quality in order to produce small lots of artisanally made wines of outstanding quality and distinctive character.

Our mission is to be a producer and distributor of low volume, high quality premium Santa Barbara County wines that appeal to distinguished palates and form the bridge between culinary art and viticultural perfection. Robléon will achieve its mission through continuous production and distribution of premium wines that enhance romantic experiences.

Technical Analysis: Varietals: Pinot Noir

Vineyard: La Encatada Vineyard

Region: Santa Barbara County, Sta. As far back as I can remember we lived in an agricultural area and grew and raised all sorts of things, from crops to chickens, rabbits, pigs and cattle. As a young man I worked in the fields and around the yard planting, harvesting and delivering some of the crops grown. I attended the animals, watering, feeding and caring for them.” Read less
